Privacy Policy
What Try New Ways collects when you visit trynewways.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
In short
- We collect only what we need to run the site and reply to you.
- Google Analytics measures visits with cookies.
- We don’t sell your personal information.
- You can ask us to see or delete your data at any time.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form. If you send us a message, we collect your name, email address, subject and message so we can reply. Messages are sent to our email inbox (hosted by Google Gmail) through Brevo, the email service that delivers the site’s mail.
- Comments. If you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address and comment you submit. Comments are checked for spam on our own server; we do not send them to a third-party spam service.
- Email sign-up. We don’t run a newsletter yet. If we add one, we will name the email provider here and only email people who sign up.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, time on site, device type, approximate location). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Server logs. Like most websites, our server records basic technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and working.
- Cookies. Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them for analytics and to remember preferences, and once advertising is enabled, to show ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Advertising
We plan to show ads served by a third-party advertising network. Ad networks and their vendors may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to collect information about your visits to this and other websites, to show you relevant ads and measure how they perform. When an ad network is active, we will name it here and link its privacy policy and choices.
You can learn about and opt out of interest-based advertising at optout.aboutads.info and networkadvertising.org/choices.
Affiliate links
Some posts contain affiliate links. If you click one, the merchant or affiliate network may set a cookie to record that you came from our site. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
Social media and embedded content
Posts may include “Save” buttons and embedded content from Pinterest and other sites. These behave as if you visited the other site, and those sites may collect data about you under their own privacy policies.
How we use information
- To run, secure and improve the site
- To reply to your messages
- To send emails you asked for, once we offer them (you can unsubscribe from any email)
- To show and measure ads, once advertising is enabled
We do not sell your personal information for money.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (for example California under the CCPA/CPRA, or the EU and UK under the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. To make a request, use our contact page. When an ad network is active, its “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link will be added here.
How long we keep information
We keep contact messages for as long as needed to respond, comments for as long as they are published, and analytics data according to our Google Analytics retention settings. If we add a newsletter, subscriber details are kept until you unsubscribe.
Children’s privacy
This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. Questions about this policy? Reach us through our contact page.
